UK Songwriting Contest category winner Natasha Duarte hits O’Donoghue’s Irish Pub

CHRISTMAS has come early for singer-songwriter Natasha Duarte.

The Glenmore Park artist won the UK Songwriting Contest’s Rock category with her song Kissing Lips, from her debut album First Time.

 

“It’s always been one of my favourite songs, so I was happy for it to go so well in the competition,” said Duarte, who was also named a finalist in six other categories.

MEET the quiet achiever who's making a big impression on the world's greatest musicians.

 

As Australia watches a handful of talented teenagers chase their dreams on TV's The Voice, 17-year-old Natasha Duarte is climbing the charts with the infectious pop single Wanted To Feel.

 

The western Sydney singer won the teen division of the prestigious International Songwriting Competition with the hit, which was chosen ahead of thousands of entries.
